About Us

Welcome Mass Effect fans!

ME3 Cosmic Love is a DLC initiative co-sponsored by groups at HoldtheLine (HTL) and the Bioware Social Network (BSN), and supported by Mass Effect fans across the web.

BioWare has developed some amazing Love Interests (LIs) for Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect Universe.   Our goal is to persuade them into giving players even more of these fantastic characters that we love;  specifically, through the release of paid DLC content for Mass Effect 3 that would expand upon the current treatment of all LIs in the game.  Tali?  Yep.  Garrus?  Affirmative.  Kaidan?  Of course.  Thane?  Definitely.  Miranda?  Absolutely.  Steve?  Oh yeah.  All of them; especially, the ME2 romances, which seem to be the most  in need of some additional attention.

Why a “romance” DLC?  Well, when BioWare began soliciting player input on HTL and BSN for the ME3 Extended Cut (EC), some of the most common suggestions involved improvements to the in-game romances (and friend relationships, as well).  Many players, for a variety of reasons, felt that the romances were not up to same caliber as they were in ME1 and ME2.  Numerous suggestions were made on both sites, including: better quality treatment of LIs, more content and side missions, less auto-dialogue, greater differences between friend & LI conversations, and many more.  In other words:  more and better story-driven content with their LI.  Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, most of these suggestions didn’t make it into the EC.  Shortly thereafter, the Romance DLC Initiative was born.  With the help of Mass Effect fans around the world, we intend to show BioWare that this DLC would greatly enrich the player’s experience of the game, and more importantly, that the fans are willing to pay for it!

So, what have we done so far?
